Ed Hayes is a Scuba Shack owner, training director, PADI Staff Instructor, and an instructor with Global Underwater Explorers (GUE). Ed is fully involved with the day-to-day operations of Scuba Shack, and frequently dives at Brownstone Quarry, and the caverns and caves of Florida. He continues his own education on a regular basis and is passionate about training techniques and diving principles.

On Oct. 1, 23 divers (plus a couple of non divers) from Scuba Shack set off on a tropical getaway to the Plaza Resort on the island of Bonaire in the Netherland Antilles.
Four students have completed their PADI Divemaster training after enrolling in last year’s Black Card program. For New England divers, diving in Florida during the winter is quite the treat. First off, when driving to the dive site you can actually see around the corners without all the snow piles in the way.

More details soon, but we’re heading back to Catalonia Riviera in Mexico this coming April. This week-long trip will includes five days of boat diving – two dives per day – plus two cenote dives and a night dive.
Just a quick heads up about four trips in the early planning stages. We’ll have more information soon, but Memorial Day Weekend in Nassau is a go. We’ve got trips scheduled for July to Honduras, August to Turks & Caicos, plus a trip to Bonaire in October.
