“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.
What will I need?
At this training level, you should have your own gear. For this course, you’ll need to complete medical statement and releases, and have the PADI Rescue Diver Crew Pak with pocket mask. You’ll complete the PADI Rescue Diver eLearning prior to meeting with your instructor.
Those enrolling in this program must be a minimum of 12 years of age, and be certified as an Advanced Open Water diver or equivalent.
You must also be trained and current (within two years) in first aid and CPR. The Emergency First Responder course will be offered in conjunction with Rescue Diver for those who need to fulfill this requirement. A separate fee applies.
What will my commitment be?
Classroom and pool sessions that meet on a schedule to be determined by the class.
What results should I expect?
You’ll become a more confident and comfortable diver as the program reviews self-rescue, recognizing and managing stress, emergency management and rescuing panicked and unresponsive divers.
