Scuba diving and Brownstone Park featured on Connecticut Day Trippers

There are plenty of things to do in central Connecticut, and we’re certain one of these adventures have been on your “I’ve always wanted to do that” list. Sarah Cody met with Scuba Shack owner and dive instructor Ed Hayes to experience scuba diving for the first time, and instead of the pool, Sarah got the opportunity to dive in the confined water area at Brownstone Park in Portland, Conn.

Scuba Shack normally introduces divers to the underwater world in warm, indoor pool simply to make it easier since you will not need a wetsuit. Two people can enjoy the experience in a group setting at a heated, indoor pool – usually with no more than five students – for only $149 this fall.

If you’d like to experience scuba diving with one of our dive professionals, please give us a call at (860) 563-0119.
