Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 250.
Scuba Shack Weekly has reached yet another milestone. Today is my 250th edition of this weekly blog. The first blog was posted way back in September 2018. I have tried to keep everyone informed of all the activity here at the shop. Thinking back, it was certainly a bit of a challenge during the Covid years. Yes, it took a long time to rebound and this is a good time to thank each and everyone of our Scuba Shack family for your support.
Last weekend the team was at Bigelow Hollow State Park for our June open water weekend. The forecast for Jamestown caused us to make the call early to switch locations. It was a big class of 12 and I want to congratulate Jeremy, Chrissy, Jay, Aubrey, Lori, Stephen, Kevin, Mark, Marta, Ryan, Julian, and Blake. The weather on Saturday was not ideal with the heavy rain, but Sunday turned out to be a whole lot better. It was also great to see many of our new divers come back to Scuba Shack for some pizza. Great job to the entire Scuba Shack professional staff for making for a great weekend. More to come.
On Friday we received our third training/demonstration drysuit from Santi. We now have a nice training fleet of drysuits and will be looking toward delivering a course in August. We are asking that you come in and talk to us about your interest in becoming a drysuit diver and we can see if one of our suits will fit. We can also discuss other options.
Last night Mike and Bill conducted a presentation that they are calling What’s Next. This session is all about the opportunities available through Scuba Shack to continue your diving. If you weren’t able to attend this session, they will be doing it again on July 11. Hope you can make it.
Enjoy the July 4th holiday and take care.
