Recreational Training

We are a PADI Five-Star Instructor Development Center and have issued over 11,000 certifications at every level of diving and are uniquely positioned to train divers at all levels.  Whether you are just starting out, looking to expand your experience or pursue a career as a dive professional, look no farther than Scuba Shack!

Becoming a diver starts at the recreational level with our Open Water Scuba Diver certification. From there the core journey continues with Enriched Air (Nitrox), Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications.  Additionally, Scuba Shack has also developed a unique course called Foundations and Principles of Diving which provides personalized instruction on the critical aspects of scuba diving including buoyancy, propulsion and maneuvering, in-depth dive planning and much more.  These five courses you will provide you with the knowledge and experience to be a competent and confident scuba diver that provide you the skills and knowledge to confidently dive anywhere in the world.

Specialty Training

In addition to these core cources, Recreational divers may also be interested other aspects of the undersea world. Scuba Shack's experienced instructors are certfied to teach over 20 different PADI specialities ranging from Night and Wreck diving to Dry Suit Diving to Underwater Photography and nearly anything you can imagine doing under water. These unique specialty certifications allow you to obtain the skills needed to safetly pursue your scuba diving interests.

Ocean Advocacy

Scuba Shack is also very focused on being an advocate for ocean health and sustainability.  As part of this advocacy, we offer all the Project AWARE specialties including Dive Against Debris, Coral Reef Conservation and Shark Conservation courses and run regular Dive Against Debris cleanup dives to help keep our dive sites and the oceans free to waste.

Technical Training

If you are a recreational diver and are interested in exploring deeper waters or staying underwater longer, Scuba Shack can provide you with the training to do so safetly, starting with Introduction to Technical Diving and learning to dive with doubles and master your bouyancy, you'll progress to learning about extended range and decompression diving, opening up even more of the undersea world you your exploration. 

Public Safety Training

Because of the importance and uniqueness of both Public Safety diving and professional training, we have established a Public Safety Dive Training Division and a Professional Development Division.
