Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 218.
Last week I was at the Dive Equipment and Marketing Association - DEMA Show 2022 in Orlando, FL and didn’t get a chance to give a weekly update. I think this was the first time I missed a weekly update. It was very busy down at the show and I spent a lot of time talking to many different exhibitors about their offerings. We are very proud to be a DEMA member and the show is the keystone event for the diving industry. Next year we will be headed to New Orleans. I’ve been part of their volunteer committee on Retailer Engagement and will continue to help the association forge ahead.
Tomorrow is Veterans Day 2022. The Scuba Shack family is proud to be a part of the veterans community. We do kid each other about the various branches of the service but at the end of the day we are all on the same team. Whether or not you served in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard and the newly formed Space Force, please take a few minutes and celebrate Veterans Day.
I recently sent out an email newsletter on all of the upcoming travel in 2023. We currently have Bonaire (end of February), Grand Cayman (May) and the Philippines (October) on the schedule. I am also looking into some more options for 2023, so stay tuned. And here is a spoiler alert. Be on the lookout for a January 2024 trip to Little Cayman Beach Resort.
Now that the busy dive season has wrapped up here in the Connecticut for most of us, I hope that you will have some time to swing by the shop and let us know how your 2022 dive season has gone. We love to hear about all of the different places that folks visited and the more memorable dives. Hope to see you soon at Scuba Shack.
Take care,
Jeff
