Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 210.

Donna and I are back from our Labor Day trip to Sunset House on Grand Cayman. Wow! It was good to get back to one of my all time favorite dive spots. The Sunset House Reef did not disappoint. It is an easy night dive and great for spotting octopus and during the day, well, how about a large spotted eagle ray flying across the reef or maybe a yellow stingray foraging along with a small jack. Mel at Sunset Divers is doing an absolutely spectacular job in running the boats and making everything right. The new catamarans are very convenient for diving the walls and shallow reefs around the west side. George joined us for several days as well. We are already plotting my next visit to Sunset House. Stay tuned!

It had been a while since we got the team together here at Scuba Shack for a staff meeting. Last night, our professionals got together to go over the dive season so far. It is always a bit of a challenge during the busy dive season to step back. We are just beginning to plot out our 2023 schedule and it is important that the entire team discusses where we are, where we are going, what needs to stay the same and what needs to change. We are very fortunate here at Scuba Shack to have a passionate and dedicated group of scuba diving professionals. We could not be successful without every one of them.

We are getting ready for our last scheduled open water class of the season starting next week. Jay will be taking the lead with this class as they look toward completing their certification later this month.

It looks like the heat and humidity might be behind us and it is a great time to get out diving. Also, if you happen to be out and about, visit us here at the shop.

Until next week, take care,

Jeff
