Big Weekend at the Pool

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 7 No. 280.

Last week we kicked off our 2024 dive training season in a BIG way; with a BIG open water class. As I mentioned in the last update, this class was full with 8 students. Alex took the lead with the class and Tom A, Sonja and I assisted with not only some great classroom work and discussion but also taking the prospective divers through their five confined water dives on Saturday and Sunday.

Mike was also at the pool taking Steven and Cheyenne through their first Divemaster pool session. They started some of their watermanship skills along with other requirements as they progress towards their professional certification.

We also had a big refresher class of four on Saturday. Ron took the lead in getting these divers back in the water. Also on Saturday, Chrissy and Jeremy spent some time in the pool practicing as they prepare for diving this spring.

Then on Sunday, Deb conducted a Discover Scuba class, while Nick came by to get some practice time in the water.
