Busy weekend at the pool, getting ready for Jamestown and more.

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 204.

So how did you survive the extremely hot weather last week? Did you get out and do some diving? Some people like it hot, while others are looking forward to the cooler weather down the road. I for one do not like the cold weather but last week was certainly a scorcher and I could do without the 100 degree temperatures and humidity.

We had a very busy weekend at the pool. Ron and Alex completed their confined water dives with six candidates for open water. Congratulations to everyone who worked hard to get ready for their certification dives. Also, Donna was at the pool on Saturday where she conducted a Discover Scuba Diving. This program gives people a taste of what it is like to breathe underwater. Then on Sunday, Monty, Donna and I were back at the pool for Rescue Diver training. We put David and MJ through their paces as they prepare for their Rescue Diver Open Water training next weekend at Fort Wetherill. Rescue Diver is really a great course and fun for both the students as well as the instructors.

Tom was up at Lake George over the weekend working on Advanced Open Water. Congratulations to Rob on completing his five dives and taking this next step as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

I also finished up another Nitrox course on Wednesday.

Finally, we are packing up for another trip up to Fort Wetherill this weekend. We will be there on both Saturday and Sunday as we completed open water certification dives and finish up our rescue class.

What a busy week. Hope to see some of you all up at Jamestown this weekend.

Take care,

Jeff
