Welcome to April everyone and I hope that you had a happy Easter. Congrats to both the UCONN mens and womens teams as they make their way to the final four. We are very fortunate to have such great basketball here in the state. It is also good to see major league baseball back as well and now it is time to really start getting ready for the 2024 northeast dive season. I think we’re ready.

Congratulations to Mike and Bill on their recognition as a PADI Elite 50 instructor for 2023. The Elite 50 designation is given to instructors who have issued at least 50 PADI certifications for the year. Mike and Bill spent a lot of time with students both at the shop and out diving to achieve these results. Please join me in congratulating and thanking them for their dedication and professionalism.

Our future divemasters were back at work on Wednesday with more lectures and discussion on becoming a PADI professional. Steven, Cheyenne and Ian are almost finished.

Tonight Jay and Monty are starting the April open water course. This is our third course of 2024 and the class will be heading to the pool this weekend for their five confined water dives.

And now it is time to get ready for the solar eclipse. Even though we are in the path of totality, we should get pretty dark around 3:30 PM. But given our weather the past week, it seems like we’ve been in a prolonged eclipse. Where is the sun?
