I trust that everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving and also had a chance to relax with a long weekend of good food, left overs, desserts, and football. And now it is time to flip to the last month of 2023 and race toward all the year-end activities.
Our final preparations are underway for this weekend’s kickoff of the Foundations and Principles of Diving PADI Distinctive Specialty course. The first part is scheduled for all-day Saturday with a classroom session followed by a four hour pool session. The guys are getting their GoPro ready to record the underwater activities.
Last week we opened up our first quarter 2024 training calendar online. Our first class in 2024 is our PADI Equipment Specialist course mid-month with Nitrox sandwiched in between. Then in February our first Open Water class gets underway with a second class scheduled in early March. These two courses are a great way to get ready for a referral certification or to join us in Islamorada in April to complete your dives.
Also on January 11th we will be hosting an information session on our upcoming trip to the Sea of Cortez onboard the Rocio del Mar. This is a great way to learn all about this exciting adventure to one of the world’s best diving destinations. Come prepared to get pumped up!
I did a short video on our trip to the Philippines. I tried to show all the diversity of the underwater world in that part of the coral triangle. Here is a link to The Philippines - Scuba Shack 2023.
Until next week, take care.
