Greetings from Grand Cayman everyone and welcome to September. Donna and I made it down to Sunset House yesterday, checked in and got our first shore dive in on the incredible house reef. It feels so good to be back here. Hard to believe that we haven’t been here since 2018 but a world-wide pandemic will do that to you. We’ve already completed four incredible boat dives and are now ready for our night dive.
Last weekend we were back at Jamestown for more diving. Mike and Mike headed to Fort Wetherill on Saturday for the first day of open water diving. After the dives, we were sitting around the shop waiting for the gear to dry when Lizzy stopped by for a visit. She just got back from a summer teaching marine bio and diving in the BVI. Well, Lizzy and Ron decided to come up to Jamestown on Sunday and help out with the class. We now have three new open water divers. Congratulations Brian, Steven, and Jinandi.
Also on Sunday, I conducted a Peak Performance Buoyancy class with Sonja and Tom. With George's help, we completed two very nice dives. It was really fantastic to see the progress over the course of the day and now they are ready for moving onto Advanced Open Water.
Quick update on our Coral Reef Conservation course. The class is scheduled on Thursday September 22nd. You have the option of either attending in person or by zoom. When you sign up, please let us know if you plan to come to the shop or zoom in.
That’s it for this week. Take care.
