Greetings from Little Cayman

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 7 No. 276.

Well the Scuba Shack crew made it to the Caymans. We beat the wintry weather and the group arrived at the Little Cayman Beach Resort on Saturday. Donna and I, along with Ned, headed to Grand Cayman early Friday morning and spent the night at the Marriott on Seven Mile Beach before heading back to the airport to meet up with the rest of our group. Friday night we connected with Andy and Deb who also came down a day early and had a great dinner at the Craft Brew House right across the street. Coming down early certainly took the stress off tight connections.

The weather here on Little Cayman has been a little challenging. We did our first two dives on Sunday morning just before the wind picked up forcing our afternoon dive to be canceled. Monday was not any better. We woke up to the wind kicking well over 25 mph. There were white caps at the dock. Our poor luck continued on Tuesday with heavy morning rain and rough sea conditions forcing the suspension of diving activities. Finally on Wednesday we were back on the boat and did four dives on Bloody Bay Wall. Then on today, we did four more dives in the marine park. Our diving wraps up tomorrow with two morning boat dives.

I guess the good news is that we missed the poor weather conditions in Connecticut. Some consultation for our disappointment on Little Cayman.

The food and the service at Little Cayman Beach Resort has been top notch as always. This is one of our favorite and most popular spots.

Until next week, we are going to enjoy a few more days of the warmth.

Take Care,

Jeff
