Greetings from South Florida. Donna and I along with Alex, Neil and Antanis are here in Pompano Beach and we are finishing up our fly-and-dive. One day to go. It has been some very good diving with water temps in the 80s and visibility at about 50 to 60 ft. Yesterday we did the Blue Heron Bridge and WOW - there is so much to see there. Donna and I could stay a week there doing a different dive everyday. Stay tuned for an update on Scuba Shack Radio’s Your Next Dive.
Well there are only a few days until Halloween. I wonder just how many ghosts, goblins or other trick or treaters are out and about this year. Last year was certainly a challenge and there was quite a bit of innovation going on to deliver candy to the kids. This year it seems that the supply chain has impacted the costumes. Can you say homemade costume? We’ll be standing by at home to greet the halloweeners.
This week Monty and Ned were supposed to finish up the Trumbull PD training. It had to be rescheduled to next week given the poor weather in CT this week and the fact that they were doing this training at an outdoor pool. Now the plan is to finish up the pool work including full face mask and drysuit next week then conduct the open water certification dives for PADI open water, dry suit and full-face mask certification before the Thanksgiving holiday. Good thing everyone will be diving dry.
If you haven’t heard my interview with Andy Leisner, Chief Consumer Officer at PADI you can check out the full interview Here on Vurbl.
It has been great getting back into the water again. I think I got some pretty good shots underwater and hope to have a short trip slideshow up on Scuba Shack TV as soon as I can.
Until next week. Take care everyone.
