Happy Holidays, Scuba Shack Radio 100th episode, Holiday hours and more

Jeffrey Cinciripino   Dec 22, 2022

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 224.

All of us here at Scuba Shack would like to offer our warm holiday greetings to you and your family. While it doesn’t look like we will have a white Christmas, I did see that they expect the temperatures to drop significantly. I know that many people are fond of the cold weather, especially those of you who ski. Me - I would rather be in a tee shirt and pair of shorts, but that will have to wait, at least until we head to Bonaire in February. After all these years, Donna and I are finally going to make it to the island. We all know what happened in 2020 to our trip.

This week I posted the 100th episode of Scuba Shack Radio. You can find it here (Scuba Shack Radio 100). I did a little reflection back on the history of the show. I started the podcast on St. Patrick’s Day 2019. It was a double barreled milestone - 100 shows and the end of season 4. Season 5 kicks off in January 2023 with episode 101.

As for the shop hours over the holidays, we will be closed on both Christmas Eve - this Saturday and New Year’s Eve - next Saturday. It is normally very quiet at the shop on those days, so we decided to take a little time to relax. Hopefully, you will still be able to swing by the shop before the end of the year and say hello.

Earlier this week, Tom Misenti dropped by the shop to say hello. He and Alicia are up from Florida for the holidays to spend some time with their daughter. Tom told us that he is loving living down in Florida during the winter months. He looked great and we had a nice chat about the good old days of Scuba Shack, when he and Bill Roe were teaching over 600 students a year! Oh how times have changed.

Enjoy the holidays everyone.

Jeff
