Happy Mother's Day, Dutch Springs update, and preparing for the season

I first want to wish all the moms out there a Happy Mother’s Day. Hope you enjoy the day and get to relax on this special day. I will be heading to PA to visit my Mom.
Our first trip to Dutch Springs is in the books. The first weekend of May has been a tradition that we started several years ago at Scuba Shack. Last year we missed out but not this year. It is a fantastic time to get some spectacular visibility in the quarry. Take a look at the trip report.
The Divemaster team worked really hard down there with a Discover Scuba workshop, the deep dive scenario, leading certified divers, completing a search and recovery dive and providing dive briefs. Oh and did I mention, they set up and broke down the dive site. What an outstanding job!
This week we had our spring Scuba Shack Staff meeting in preparation for the dive season. With open waters only a few weeks away, we wanted to get everyone together to talk over the schedule and discuss the busy dive season ahead. We were able to do this with a combination of both in person and zoom. It was great to see everyone.
Prior to the staff meeting our Divemasters finished up their final exam. Congratulations! They are now only a couple of weeks away from becoming a PADI Professional. Good job Bill, Zach, Dave and Jay.
Our next open water class is set to start with five new divers next week. Stay tuned for an update.
