Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 7 No. 294.
With the annual Memorial Day Weekend trip completed, we are now officially into the Scuba Shack summer season. The warm weather is certainly getting folks interested in diving. Our first open water class for June is now full and we have a second class on tap later in the month. The crew will also be conducting two open water weekends at Brownstone Park in June. It will be a very active month at the dive shop.
The review is in for the Sunset House trip to Grand Cayman. Another absolutely amazing dive trip led by Peter. The team had some very good weather and thoroughly enjoyed the diving. Big shout out to Mel and the team at Sunset Divers for taking care of our folks. The staff at Sunset House always go above and beyond for their customers.
I promised you an update on another new product. Last week we became an official dealer for Sharkskin. We are currently the only brick and mortar store in Connecticut. We have brought in a couple of their full zip suits - the Titanium 2 front zip and the Chillproof back zip. The T2 is the equivalent of a 4 to 5 mm wetsuit while the Chillproof is like a 3 mm. Come in and take a look.
Here is an update on the Sea of Cortez trip. We are down to two spaces available. We have room for one male and one female diver. We expect that these two spots will fill quickly. If you are on the fence don’t wait!
Finally, the team is heading down to Stonington Point for a night dive (or just a regular dive) on Friday June 7. Plan to meet at Dubois Beach around 5:30 PM. If you are planning to head down, let us know so the crew can look out for you.
Until next week - take care,
Jeff
