Lots of activities, new open water class, and more

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 232.

Super Bowl Sunday is now behind us and that was a tough one for all of us Philadelphia Eagles fans. I’d like to say it was a great game, but we lost. And now it’s time to make our way to spring.

The shop was buzzing on Saturday. I had a meeting to work on some upcoming activities with the non-profit. More to come on that as we are hoping to have some news on our programs shortly. Also, we had folks stop in to get ready for their open water class, get their gear serviced and to find out more about our programs. Like I said it was buzzing.

Our 2023 Divemaster class continues. The group was at the shop again on Tuesday night for their fourth session. Their progress will continue this weekend at the pool. They are well on their journey to the PADI professional ranks

Tonight we are starting our second open water class of the year. This time Bill is taking the lead with Mike’s assistance. I always like to sit in on the first part of the class to find out what is motivating folks to become scuba divers. What is the spark that makes them take the plunge? If you’re a diver - what made you jump in?

I mentioned last week that we now are carrying Zeagle regulators. With this new addition to our line, Monty, Mike and I will be heading down to New Jersey next month to attend the Zeagle regulator service course. We are excited to have this new line of high-performance, affordable regulators in stock and also be certified to keep them in top shape. So, if you own a Zeagle regulator, Scuba Shack will be an authorized service center.

Just another reminder, Donna and I are heading to Bonaire with the Scuba Shack group on Saturday February 25th. Monty will be at the shop on Saturday February 25 and Saturday March 4. The shop will be closed Monday February 27 through Friday March 3. Our fingers are crossed that the weather will cooperate and we’ll finally make it to the island.

Until then, take care,

Jeff
