Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 243.

Welcome to May everyone. Hope we start to see the weather warm up. It has been a little on the chilly side since we had those record temperatures in mid-April. Looks like the nicer weather is on the horizon.

Congratulations to Monty, Mike and Bill on the approval of their new PADI Distinctive Specialty - Foundations and Principles of Diving. They have taken the Scuba Shack course and transformed it. By taking Foundations and Principles of Diving you will now earn a PADI certification.

Well in case you missed it, our new 2023 Scuba Shack T-Shirt is in the shop and for sale. This year we are featuring a red light weight tee with the Scuba Shack logo on the front. On the back, we have a design by Matt. Our Dive New England theme features a hard hat diver facing off with a large lobster. Circling above is Jaws telling us that we’re going to need a bigger knife. It is a great design and the red and black look sharp. Not only that, it is only $12.99. We have sizes from small through 3XL.

Even though the weather was not great on Saturday, we had a very good indoor tent sale. There were some bargains to be had and those who ventured out got some great used gear or some close out new gear at deeply discounted prices. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the shop.

We did manage to sneak in our dive at Bigelow Hollow on Sunday. Mike and Bill were working with George on final preparations for his upcoming PADI Instructor Exam in Fort Lauderdale this weekend. He has worked very hard and is now ready to join the Scuba Shack instructor ranks. Good luck, George. I spent my time underwater with them in my new Avatar drysuit and it was a very relaxing dive and I had fun with one curious fish. Check out my blog post on the Avatar.

Tonight we start another open water class. Alex along with Bill’s help will be starting our new group on their first step in becoming scuba divers.

Until next week, take care.

Jeff
