Well, we now have the first snowfall of the season in the books. Somehow it always is a bit of a surprise when the first flakes pile up. Then all the sounds of winter come back - the snow plows going by, the snow blowers revving up and the shovels scraping across the ice. You just gotta love New England.
If you are still thinking about coming to Bonaire this February with Scuba Shack, you will need to act fast. We need to close out the booking this Saturday, December 17th. Space is still available for this great week of diving. The base trip includes seven nights at Divi Flamingo resort and 6 days of 2-tank morning boat dives plus unlimited shore diving - all on Nitrox. You can also add five days of 1-tank afternoon boat diving. What better way to spend time this winter?
Last night I had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion on A Dram of Diving on the power of podcasting. The show is on YouTube and you can take it in. It was a lot of fun. Here's the link to A Dram of Diving Power of Podcasting Panel Discussion.
Last weekend we had our second 2023 staff planning session. Thanks to all the team who participated in getting us ready for our new year of diver training. We continue to look at our material and the focus areas that reinforce the PADI electronic learning. Open water certification is the first step in a lifetime of diving and our goal is to provide that solid foundational base on which our new divers can continue to grow as they begin to experience the underwater world. We are ready for 2023.
As we make our way toward Christmas - only 10 days away now, I want to let everyone know that we will be closed on Christmas Eve. The shop will reopen on Tuesday December 27 with our normal hours.
Until next week, take care,
Jeff
