Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 226.

It is officially 2023 and the days are starting to get longer. I like that. We still have a lot of winter to go, but now that the holidays are behind us, it is time to look forward to spring and start up the 2023 dive season. Are you ready? We’ve got a lot on our schedule this year.

Our trip to Dumaguete in the Philippines is finally happening this year. The pandemic delayed us two years but now we are heading out to this section of the coral triangle in October 2023. Donna and I are very excited about getting back to Atlantis Dive Resort. It is awesome and the diving is fantastic. We will be having an informational session, by zoom, with Les Corkill from Atlantis on January 11, 2023 at 7 PM. Les will fill us in on all the details, what is going on at the resort and answer any questions. If you are interested in finding out more, shoot us an email and we’ll get you the link.

We’ve been working on getting all of our gear ready for the 2023 dive season. Along with Ned’s help, we have gotten through a majority of our tank visual inspections. The Halcyon BC fleet has been inspected, serviced, and tested. They are ready to go. We are now working on overhaul of all of our fleet regulators. We are very proud of our service and maintenance of our fleet. And now is the time for you to get ready for 2023 by having your gear serviced. That will also give us time to address any unusual parts requirements.

I kicked off season 5 of Scuba Shack Radio earlier this week. Episode 101 is now online. Find out what I have to say about the impacts of drysuits here in the northeast. You might be surprised.

Happy New Year everyone,

Jeff
