Yes it's winter; Yes it’s cold. And Yes it’s time to get warm

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 7 No. 275.

I have to realize that this is the middle of winter. Sometimes it is easy to forget and then you wake up to snow, freezing rain, and wind chill. Trust everyone stayed safe during the recent bad weather.

We did get a bit of a respite from the cold on Saturday however and it seemed that it was a good day for folks to come out and visit Scuba Shack. We had a steady flow of people coming to pick out new masks, fins, snorkels and other gear as they look to get away this winter.

Our professionals came in on Saturday as well, so the shop was even busier. We met to make sure that everyone was set for the 2024 dive season and to go over some key news and information about the industry. Our schedule is pretty full and I will be getting more classes on the website in February. Right now, we do have our open water classes for March and April available for signup as the February course is sold out.

On Monday I recorded and published the newest episode of Scuba Shack Radio. You can access episode 129 here.

If you were not able to make our session last week on the trip to the Sea of Cortez onboard the Rocio del Mar, I’ve put together a YouTube video with all of the details. You can find it on Scuba Shack TV - Adventures in the Sea of Cortez - Information Session.

The week rounded out with another Nitrox course and the start of our 2024 Divemaster class.

Just a reminder - Scuba Shack will be closed next week - Tuesday 1/23 through Friday 1/26. We will also be closed tomorrow, Friday 1/19 as we head to the Caymans.

Time to get warm.

Jeff
