Halcyon has discontinued their Traveler series of buoyancy compensators. The Traveler and Traveler Pro that feature the plastic nylon backplates are no longer available. For anyone interested in a lightweight travel system, Halcyon has their Adventure series featuring their carbon fiber backplates. The Adventure Pro would seem like the best option for those who want a fully assembled BC. The Adventure Pro comes with 20, 30, or 40 pound lift capacity complete with the quick adjusting crotch strap, cinch system, deluxe shoulder harnesses, MC Storage Pak, and ABC10 integrated weight pockets. With the Adventure Pro you can also specify either a blue or black carbon fiber backplate, then pick from either aluminum or stainless steel hardware. Check it out.

Shearwater has announced the release of the Perdix 2 computer. There are two options - the Perdix 2 TI or Perdix 2 TI Black. In addition to the fantastic features of the Perdix AI, this new model provides a titanium bezel (silver or black) and a toughened glass lens for improved clarity and damage resistance. The new Perdix 2 has two-button titanium piezo touch buttons with user adjustable sensitivity and a customizable vibration alert system. This updated computer can monitor up to four Shearwater transmitters. Find out more.
