Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 253.

Are you wondering when the rain is going to stop or maybe who’ll stop the rain? The wet summer continues. Last Sunday was particularly wet. The good news is that you really don’t have to water your lawn right now. But if you are doing your own landscaping, good luck keeping up with the mowing.

While we were busy here at the shop on Saturday, Tom J and Jay were up at Lake George, NY conducting an Advanced Open Water course and finishing up two open water certification dives. Congratulations to Jesse and Olivia for getting their five advanced dives completed and getting this next rating. Also, congratulations to Liam for his junior open water certification.

Tonight, we start another open water class here at the shop. This is a BIG one. We have 9 folks signed up to start their underwater adventure being led by Jay and George. This is a bigger than normal class because we have a bigger pool this time. We will be at the Middlesex YMCA in Middletown for the upcoming weekend.

I wanted to let everyone know that the shop will be closed on Friday 7/28. Scuba Shack will be open on Saturday 7/29 with limited staff and then we will be closed Monday - Friday 7/31 to August 4. We will open again with normal hours starting August 5. If you are interested in why we are closed, you see Donna and I are headed out to the Sea of Cortez to check out the Rocio del Mar. We want to make sure we have the experience for our 2024 Scuba Shack trip. Stay tuned for updates.

Our Orca Torch Night Dive Light packages are now available at the shop. Stop by to check out this very affordable combination with everything you need for a great night dive.

We also have been working with Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park and plan to start doing some more diving there very soon. I will update you soon.

Until next week, take care,

Jeff
