Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 231.

Brrrrrr! Now THAT was a very cold Saturday morning. It hasn’t been that cold around here for a very long time and the good news is - it didn’t last very long. Plus there wasn’t any of that frozen precipitation to go along with it. We are one week closer to spring but more importantly - Bonaire.

On Saturday morning the staff got together again for another round of training. This time the focus was on Emergency First Response. It was good to review all of our procedures and equipment to ensure that we are ready for the upcoming dive season. Thanks to all who braved the sub-zero temperatures to make it to the shop.

I mentioned before that Mike and Bill have been working on an update to Scuba Shack’s Core Principles class. It is complete and we are now ready to deliver our focused Core Principles course for 2023. The first class is now on the website and ready for sign up. It will run between March 11 and March 23. The course comprises about 16 hours of combined classroom and pool work. Check it out for more details.

If you want to check out some of our newest gear - it is here. We have the Zeagle Recon fins along with three different Zeagle regulators - the F8, Onyx II and Envoy II. These are really cool regs. Plus we have the Oceanic Veo 4 dive computer along with the Hollis M1 mask.

Last night we had our Grand Cayman - Sunset House - Memorial Weekend trip informational session. As I’ve mentioned in the past, this year we moved the trip from Nassau to Grand Cayman for a number of reasons. The session outlined all of the details of the trip and features of Sunset House. We recorded the presentation and it is available on our YouTube channel. Check it out. Deadline for sign up is March 10th.

Well this Sunday is the Super Bowl. As many of you might know, I am a Philadelphia Eagles fan. It has been a great season so far, and we just need one more win to make it complete, but I know the Chiefs are an outstanding team. Looking forward to a great game and a great outcome.

Until next week - take care everyone,

Jeff
