INTRODUCTION TO DECO BOTTLE MANAGEMENT --
As you move into technical diving, the use of a deco bottle will be necessary. Learning how to properly rig, carry and use a deco bottle is critical. Scuba Shack's Introduction to Deco Bottle Management is a great way to start your learning.

The Introduction to Deco Bottle Management course with Scuba Shack is developed to give you a foundation in diving with a deco botttle. the class consists of one classroom session where you will be introduced to the proper rigging of a deco bottle, how to properly carry the tank and the protocols for using the deco bottle. You will then complete a three-hour pool session where you will begin to experience what it slike to carry the tank and how to properly switch to the deco bottle while diving using proper safety procedures and protocols.
What Qualifications Do I Need?
You must be at least a PADI Open Water Diver (or above) and be able to properly handle the additional tank.
Minimum age; 15
What Equipment Will I Need?
You will need your entire scuba kit (double tanks if that is what you are diving) along with a properly configured deco bottle. If you do not have a deco bottle that is properly configured, Scuba Shack has limited rental options available for an additional charge.
What Do I DO Next?
If you are interested in enrolling in an upcoming class, you will need to call to set up an appointment with one of our staff to discuss the class in more detail after which you will be able to sign-up.
Is There Anything Else?
Yes - everyone who takes the Scuba Shack Introduction to Deco Bottle Management class must complete a Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire. Based on your responses, you may be required to have a physician clear you for scuba diving. A fully completed medical questionnaire is absolutely required prior to any in-water activity with Scuba Shack.
