Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 214.

We are back from the Boston Sea Rovers 2022 clinic and wow we had a really great time. Monty kicked things off with a public safety dive charter to the Chester Poling on Thursday and then followed up with the Public Safety Workshop on Friday. Donna and I arrived mid-day on Friday and helped get things set up for the show. Friday night we attended the speakers cocktail party hosted by the Sea Rovers.

Saturday was a full day of activities. After getting all of the volunteers set up for the day, I joined Monty for our workshop on dive computers. We wrapped up the workshop just in time to see Matt’s seminar on the trip to the Great Lakes. He presented his video titled Crossroads of Commerce. The seminar was well attended and he received some great reviews. Saturday wrapped up with the film festival and we reconvened on Sunday for more great seminars and exploration of the exhibit hall.

It is now official that the Boston Sea Rovers annual clinic will move back to the March timeframe starting in 2024. The plan is to have a film festival in 2023 to bridge the gap. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

We start our Rescue Diver class tonight. Our four candidates will be at the pool on Saturday for scenario review and then we head to Fort Wetherill on Sunday to complete the course. Capping off the New England dive season with rescue certification is a great way to go.

Our February Bonaire trip is now on the website and available for booking. We also just posted our April trip to Saba and the Memorial Day trip with a new location - Sunset House on Grand Cayman.

Finally, just a reminder that Scuba Shack will be closed starting October 14 through October 24 as we all head down to Little Cayman for some fantastic diving.

Happy diving everyone,

Jeff
