Scuba Shack Weekly – Volume 2, Number 52
Happy Holidays everyone. Donna, Matt, Monty and I would like to extend our warmest wishes to our Scuba Shack family. Thank you for your continued support and we trust that you will have a healthy and happy 2020. Hard to believe that we are at the end of 2019.
This edition of Scuba Shack Weekly caps a full calendar year of the blog. I hope that I have been able to keep you informed of all the is ongoing at the shop as well as provide some interesting tidbits of information. I also hope to continue the weekly blog through 2020. I have gotten some great encouragement from folks and it keeps me motivated to carry on. Thanks.
The Boston Sea Rovers Clinic is coming together nicely. Monty and I attended the December planning meeting last week. I really encourage you to check out the BSR website and make plans to attend the March event. A block of rooms has been reserved with a great rate. Also, you can volunteer to help out by submitting an application online at their site. Scuba Shack is again conducting the discover scuba event at the show. If you haven't attended before you won't be disappointed in kicking off the dive season by coming up to Danvers, Mass.
Word has it that some of Cozumel's reefs are reopened. There is not a lot of detail out there just yet but it seems that the reefs from Palancar to Columbia will be open until March 31, 2020. El Cielo is still closed however. From what I've been able to gather, periodic closures will occur at various sites to allow the reefs to recover. Information is somewhat limited and hopefully more details will be available soon.
Let's get ready for 2020!
Thanks for tuning in,
Jeff
