Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 198.
We are now in the final week of Spring 2022 and it has been a busy time. Are you ready for Summer 2022? We are and our classes are filling up. Hard to believe that we are booking August classes and September open water dives. We are very appreciative of everyone's support and encouragement.
Alex, Ned and George finished up our latest confined water training over the weekend. Congratulations to Luke, Kim, Nicki and Aidan on this important milestone enroute to PADI Open Water Scuba Diver certification. Next up will be their open water dives in Jamestown, RI. Scuba Shack will be at Fort Wetherill this next weekend. Keeping our fingers crossed for good weather.
I want to congratulate George on completion of his PADI Divemaster certification. PADI Divemaster training is an intense program to prepare you to become a leader in the dive community. We are very pleased to have him join the professional ranks here at Scuba Shack.
Monty was also at the pool with Mike and Bill as they are both preparing for their Tec 50 class. Pool practice is an important step in managing the various decompression bottles necessary to make the deep dives. Stay tuned for updates as they make their way to the open water dives.
On Tuesday night, Monty, Bill and Ned presented a video “Crossroads of Commerce”; a video that Matt produced to the SECONN dive club. The video is about the trip that Matt, Mike, Bill and Chris did last summer to the upper part of Michigan where they did some fantastic wreck diving.
To round out this week, we completed another Nitrox class and held our Advanced Open Water orientation.
Busy, busy week. Hope you enjoy the summer and hope to see you around the shop or dive site.
Take care,
Jeff
