Well this summer went by pretty fast. Only one more day until we are officially in Autumn 2023. Although the pumpkin spice coffees have been out for a while now along with everything Octoberfest. I am going to wait until it is actually Fall before I get my first pumpkin muffin at Dunkin. I wonder if the first Christmas commercial has aired yet?
It was another busy weekend for Scuba Shack. Bill led another confined water class with Shea assisting. This was our last officially scheduled confined water class for the year - believe it or not. It was a smaller class of four and now they are ready for their open water certification dives this weekend at Brownstone.
On Saturday we also had several divers at the pool for some practice and then on Sunday Deb and Alfred took five divers through their refresher training. Getting familiar with the gear and reacclimating to being underwater is highly recommended if you haven’t been diving for a while.
While the crew was at the pool on Sunday, Donna and I were at the shop getting all the paperwork organized for our upcoming trip to the Philippines in preparation for our trip meeting. We gathered the travel team together on Tuesday to go over all the details about this epic journey. Our group of 27 are now ready to head to Manila in mid-October and then down to Atlantis Resort in Dumaguete. This has been a long time coming!
Wednesday night was another Nitrox class and then on Thursday, we gathered the team together for our second 2024 scheduling meeting. Our calendar is now set for training and travel next year.
Finally, if you’ve been to our online store in the past you might have noticed that it was a little dated. Well, we are diligently working on that. Our goal is to keep it updated with the latest products that we have in-stock at the store. You might also note that we are now only doing in-store pick up. If you find something that you think might not be right, please let me know. I am working to make it as accurate as possible.
Mmmm - maybe a pumpkin muffin this Saturday!
