Scuba Shack Weekly Volume 3 No. 158

Did you enjoy the Labor Day Holiday? The weather did get a whole lot better on Monday after a pretty gray and damp Sunday. Things are sure staying green up here in Connecticut with all the wet weather we’ve had this summer. And oh by the way “Are you ready for some football”. Yes, the NFL kicks off this week.

First off I want to congratulate our nine new open water scuba divers. The team completed their four dives over the past weekend up at Jamestown. The group got to experience some great New England diving when the water is still fairly warm, the air temperatures are comfortable and you get some pretty good visibility. I heard they had some pretty good tours of the cove as they completed their training. We will be back there again in a couple of weeks.

We started yet another open water class at the shop this week. Joel with Peter and Matt’s assistance will be taking our 8 students to the pool this weekend for their confined water dives before heading up to Fort Wetherill in a couple of weeks for certification. Good luck to all.

Monty and the crew are back at Dutch Springs this coming weekend. It is our final trip to Bethlehem this year and for that matter may be the last trip ever. Looking forward to certifying four new Advanced Open Water divers. They say the weather is going to be great over the weekend.

Please don’t forget to send me any photos that you’d like to share in our photo of the month section. It hasn’t been updated for September yet. Hope to do that in the next week or so. I always enjoy getting cool photos from our divers. Email to sshackdiving@gmail.com

We’ve spent a lot of time this past week looking at our 2022 calendar and have some new things planned for next year. Stay tuned over the next couple of months to hear about some of the exciting things we have on tap for next year.

Until next week, take care everyone.

Jeff
