First off, I want to congratulate our four new rescue divers. Last week Mike, Bill, Ron and Shea took our team through their paces. The weather cooperated on Saturday as they spent a full day at Brownstone Sports Adventure Park developing their skills, running through their exercises all culminating in the scenarios that tested their ability to become a Rescue Diver. Great job - Steven, Emily, Jesse and Joe. The culmination of PADI recreational training.
We are now only a few days away from our trip to Atlantis Dive Resort in the Philippines. I want to remind everyone that Scuba Shack will be closed starting Sunday October 15 through Friday October 27. The shop will reopen with normal hours starting Saturday October 28. Please plan accordingly and we will be here on Saturday October 14th to take care of any last minute needs before we head out.
In case you missed it along the way, we do have a Foundations and Principles of Diving PADI Specialty course scheduled for December. The class will run all day on Saturday December 2nd and Saturday December 9th. Each day will start with a morning classroom session at Scuba Shack followed by a four hour pool session at the Middlesex YMCA. The course will finish up on Tuesday night December 12th for a final review of the in-pool video. What a great way to end the dive year!
