DEMA DEMA Show Red Sea

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 263.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the very nice weather the last few days. After all of that rain, it was nice to see the sun again and with the warm temperatures it was enough to make you want to get outside. Great stretch of weather to help extend the dive season here in the northeast.

This year I have been selected to give a presentation at the Dive Equipment and Marketing Association Show next month. My session is about new diver motivation and I have been working on the material for quite a while now. Earlier this spring, Peter helped me organize and outline the material. With the presentation completed, I wanted to have the opportunity to do a rehearsal/walk-through with Scuba Shack staff. Last Thursday night, Donna, Deb, Nancy and Ron participated in the session and I am very appreciative of their interest and feedback. I think I am now ready to go on stage in New Orleans.

Our work preparing for 2024 continues. On Wednesday night, the team assembled once again to review the overall schedule, and begin to look at the assignment process for next year. The team is also taking a look at areas where we might update our programs. I will keep you updated as we continue.

Tom and Jay are back from Cozumel. It sounds like the group had a great time diving with Paradise Divers while staying at Hotel Cozumel. Looks like they got in some great diving.

For those of you who are LONG range planners - here is something to put on your list. This week we officially booked the Explorer Venture Grand Sea Explorer in the Red Sea. The trip will run October 16 - 23, 2025. Scuba Shack has chartered the whole boat for the trip. Definitely a bucket list item for many divers. Stay tuned for more details on the website.

Less than two weeks now until we head to the Philippines. The excitement builds.

Until next time, take care.

Jeff
