Diving Dry!

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 7 No. 292.

It is official. We have really kicked off our dive season with our first open water dives of the year - at least up here in New England. Tom J headed down to Brownstone Park on Saturday to finish up the drysuit course that he started in the pool back in March. Congratulations to Barry and Jesse for finishing up this class and taking the next step in their diving journey.

In preparation for this weekend’s first open water certification dives of the year, George was at the shop on Tuesday night working with one of our students on her Nitrox certification. Then on Wednesday night all the dive professionals going to Brownstone this weekend got together to go over the logistics and schedule for the upcoming event. There is a great deal of preparation that goes into each event and we like to ensure that everyone knows what, when and how it will all happen. Scuba Shack takes a lot of pride in how we organize and run our training events.

We are finalizing all the details for next year’s trip to Dominica at the end of March 2025. Tom J. just returned from a familiarization trip in April and he had a fantastic time. He said the diving was really good. Not only did he get to do the 2 tank morning boat dives, he was able to shore dive every afternoon and do some night diving. The details will be posted on the website very, very soon. Looks like a great trip to start thinking about now.

I am hearing that the warm weather is going to kick in next week, so make your plans to get out there diving.

Take care,

Jeff
