Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 4 No. 163

As we make our way into the middle part of October, Donna and I will be heading down to PA to attend a wedding and then we will be moving my Mom up here to CT. We are excited that she will be close by and look forward to the holidays with her which by the way are right around the corner. That is hard to believe.

Last Saturday we conducted our Emergency First Response course in preparation for Rescue - which is this weekend by the way. Great job Bryan, Caroline, and Mary. You are all ready for your rescue class. Also, congratulations to Jay and Dave on completing their work as Emergency Oxygen and EFR Instructors. And thanks Ned for helping with the class.

Also, last week we were able to expand our online store by now offering gift cards. The gift cards are delivered by email with a unique code for redemption. I think it is pretty easy. Just specify the amount, enter the email address of the person you want to give the card to, customize your message and you can even pick the delivery date. Hopefully we’ve made it a little easier to make your special scuba diver a little happier.

Now exclusively on Scuba Shack Radio’s Vurbl station is a new playlist titled Gearing Up with Scuba Shack. In this playlist I discuss the basic equipment that new scuba divers should consider beyond their mask, snorkel, fins, and boots. Each segment is between 2 to 3 minutes long and takes the listener through wetsuits, computers, BCD, regulator, compass and other accessories. Check it out here. I’d also very much appreciate it if you could subscribe to the Scuba Shack Radio Vurbl station and get informed of all the latest from the show.

We just posted a new open water class in November. This class has been added to allow for folks who want to get all their confined water work done prior to heading someplace warm to get their open water certification dives completed. The class will run between November 9 and November 14. If you know someone who is interested, let them know. Sign up online is open and we expect it to sell out. Don’t delay.

Less than two weeks to Pompano.

Until next week, take care.

Jeff
