Scuba Shack Weekly – Volume 4, Number 2
Hope everyone had a good week. We have certainly been busy and before we know it January 2021 will be over. The march to spring continues.
Monty and the crew including Matt, Mike, Ron, Tom, Bill and Zach conducted the PADI Equipment Specialist class last week. The course spanned three nights with virtual sessions covering regulators, tanks, BCDs, masks, fins and more. I think we had nine people participate in the class. The remote feed from the service department added a lot to the course.
Great job everyone! I also did a segment on this course on the latest episode of Scuba Shack Radio.
Speaking of Scuba Shack Radio, on Sunday I posted the 50th episode of the podcast. The podcast has been a lot of fun and a lot of work over the past two years. I have no plans of slowing down and will continue to post a new episode every two weeks. Please let me know if there are things that you’d like me to cover. I am always looking for a good story. Additionally, my segment on the Paris Agreement this week was picked up by Audioblast for their Sustainability playlist. To wrap up this week’s blog I just wanted to let everyone know that Peter and Donna are working with Stuart Cove right now to get our Memorial Day trip set up. We are very hopeful that the trip will go off this year. There are a couple of logistical elements that need to be worked out. We are trying to get things set up by mid-February so everyone can make their plans accordingly. It is still expected that the trip will run as normal over the holiday weekend. Stay tuned for more to come in the next two to three weeks.
Thanks again for all the continued support.
