Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 3 No. 159

As we reach the half-way point in September, one thing that I’ve noticed is that the trees are all pretty much still green. Some years we see a lot of color starting around now. I don’t know if it is because of the amount of rain we got this year or if there is some other reason but soon enough I am sure we will start to see the spectacular Fall colors of New England pop out.

September also continues to be a very busy month at Scuba Shack. Last weekend Monty, Mike, Bill, Zach, Ned and Dave were at Dutch Springs conducting the Advanced Open Water Class. Congratulations to Lars, Caroline, Dave and Nick on reaching this next level. Good job. Also at Dutch with the Scuba Shack crew were our divers - George and Eric. This may just have been the last trip to Dutch Springs for Scuba Shack. The speculation still abounds on whether it will be open next year or not. Only time will tell.

Also last weekend Joel along with help from Peter, Matt and Donna finished up another confined water class. These eight new divers along with some other folks will be headed to Jamestown this weekend to complete their open water certification dives. It will be HUGE. Our count is now at 15. Stay tuned next week to hear more about how that turned out.

The latest installment of Wet Notes, Scuba Shack Radio’s news and information segment is out there. Find out a little bit about what’s coming down from Aqualung/Apeks and more.

Finally, it is only two weeks until the Boston Sea Rovers clinic in Danvers, MA. We’ll be there. And there are still a couple of spots left for Monty’s double-dip on the Poling for Thursday September 30. Should be fun.

That’s all for this week. Take care everyone.

Jeff
