Gearing up for more open water, Lake George, and more

I hope that everyone had a nice 4th of July holiday. The weather was certainly spectacular here in Connecticut. It was nice to sit out on our back deck and read a bit. Just a little bit of a break before we gear up for more training.

On Saturday, we had our staff July 4th picnic here at the shop. It was great to get everyone together. The weather cooperated for most of the day although there was a heavy downpour for several minutes. Monty was watching his weather app and we took down the canopies just in time before the rain and wind hit.

We are off and running with another open water class. Bill is taking leadership with this class and Ned will be assisting. Tuesday night was their introduction and dive planning. The class will continue tonight with their quick quiz and then equipment orientation here at the shop. Then it is onto the pool for confined water this weekend.

Monty, Tom, Jay, Mike and George are all headed up to Lake George, NY this weekend to scope out some new opportunities to dive. Tom is planning on conducting an Advanced Open Water course up there in a couple of weeks. With Dutch Springs now fully closed, we are hoping that Lake George is an alternative for more diving.

Next Tuesday night we are conducting an Emergency First Response class here at the shop. This is a great class that gives you the tools and knowledge to jump into action if something goes wrong.

Until next week, take care.

Jeff
