Goodbye 2022, Bonaire, Core Principles and more

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 225.

There are only a few more days left until we say goodbye to 2022. Donna and I are wrapping up all of our year end activities here at the shop. Earlier this week, we completed our daunting year-end inventory. We started very early on Monday morning and wrapped up late in the day. Like anything, the more preparation that you do, the smoother things go. Donna did a lot of prep work. We always say that we are going to do spot inventories throughout the year, but we just seem to get too busy.

Scuba Shack Weekly has reached another milestone. This is the 225th edition of the weekly blog that I started in September 2018. It has changed a bit since I started Scuba Shack Radio and I hope that these weekly updates have kept you caught up on all of the activities going on here at the dive shop.

Our Bonaire trip is now closed out. Fifteen of us will be heading south at the end of February. This will be the first time that Donna and I will make it down to Bonaire. Every time we planned a trip in the past, something came up and we couldn’t get there. Last time it was something like Covid-19. Keeping our fingers crossed that the airlines don’t have another meltdown. Bonaire is the last of the ABC islands for us to hit. Just a reminder the ABC islands are Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.

Mike and Bill were in this week working hard on a revised curriculum for our core principles class. We are hoping to be able to offer this course more often in 2023. There is a lot of planning and preparation that goes into it. We are working to schedule the first class soon. So if you are interested in taking the class or would like more information, please reach out let us know.

As we close out 2022, I want to wish you a Happy New Year.

Take care,

Jeff
