Great Sunday afternoon pool session, Introducing our New Halcyon Fleet and more

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 4 No. 172

Hope you are all doing well as we race toward the Christmas and New Years holidays. In a little over a week, Santa will be making his way down your chimney and leaving lots of goodies. At least we hope so. No coal - we don’t want to burn that anyway - too much pollution and greenhouse gases.

Last Sunday, Matt, Donna and I were at the pool for a really great pool session. We started off with a Discover Scuba for three. There were a lot of smiles from Cassandra, Robert and Corbin as they got to experience breathing underwater. Then it was onto reactivates and tune ups. There were five divers getting back in the water after a layoff to knock off the rust and get back underwater. Great job Bill, Corey, Anna, Peter and Jennifer.

So here is our BIG news of the week. Scuba Shack will now be training all of our open water students in the Halcyon Infinity BC. We’ve made the investment with 16 brand new Halcyon’s custom-made with the Scuba Shack logo embroidered on the wing. We are deeply committed to the Halcyon Infinity and we want our students to experience from day one what we experience everyday with the Halcyon. We are also gearing up for our PADI Ice Diver class at the end of February. The plan will be to conduct the dives up at Mohawk Pond in East Cornwall. The pond should be frozen over that time of year and it is a great spot to conduct the class. Monty put together a short video to talk about the course. You can check that out here.
