The Scuba Shack family sincerely wishes you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. It is a time of year to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for and our good fortune. 

The shop is gearing up for all of our year-end activities. With the northeast dive season is in a bit of hiatus for the winter, we are taking some time to get caught up on inventory, maintenance of our gear for the 2020 dive season, and finalizing our training and travel schedule. We have a lot on the plate for 2020, so stay tuned. I hope to keep you up-to-date with this ongoing blog, the monthly newsletter, and Scuba Shack Radio. Also new – Scuba Shack Radio now has its own Facebook page – look for additional content related to the show.

Speaking of the December newsletter, it will be packed with some really interesting stuff. As a teaser, there will be some exciting news about Ikelite, something called the Spicy Shark, and really cool travel opportunities (where will we be going to next). Speaking about Ikelite, while I was at DEMA I had a chance to talk to Jean Ryberg, the president and CEO of Ikelite. Jean has an article in the latest edition of Alert Diver about Lithium-Ion batteries. The article is a quick read and provides some valuable information and safety tips.
