Nassau Trip, June Photos of the Month and more

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 4 No. 145

Hot! Hot! Hot! It’s official, we’ve had our first heat wave of the summer (and it’s not even summer). I’ll bet that nice cool water in Jamestown or Dutch Springs will feel really good when the weather gets like this.

You might notice that I’ve changed the numbering on Scuba Shack Weekly. The volume number represents the 4th year of the publication (started in 2018) and the number represents the total number of editions. I’ve switched to being more like some of the magazines. Closing in on 150.

Ron and Ned successfully completed another open water class at the New Britain YMCA over the weekend. Congratulations to all the divers for completing this first step in their diver education. Now it is onto the certification dives. Good luck.

Right now, Tom and Jay are in Florida completing their technical training with none other than one of the Shadow Divers - John Chatterton. I am sure they will return with some outstanding stories from this living legend in the dive community.

I also want to thank Peter for providing a great trip report from our time in Nassau. We certainly can’t wait to get back. You can check out the trip report by clicking here.

You can also check out our Photos of the Month for June 2021. Thanks to all who shared. Let’s get some more in for July - just send to sshackdiving@gmail.com.

If you know anyone who is interested in Advance Open Water at Dutch Springs, we’ve made it easy to register online. We have three weekend classes available in July, August and September.

Until next week.

Take care,

Jeff
