Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 252.
With summer upon us it seems that we have made up for the late spring. It wasn’t that long ago that we were experiencing some cool weather and wishing for warmth. Well, we certainly have gotten our wish. It has been HOT and we have also been doing a lot of diving. Let’s keep going.
Last week was filled with open water dives. Ron and I completed our Scuba Educational Alliance of CT course on Friday and our three Meriden students, Caileigh, Connor and Rachel finished up their four open water dives at Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park. They had a lot of fun exploring the dive site and finding out just what is inside the Cadillac. They really loved floating in their wetsuits. Check out the video.
Then over the weekend, Ron, Mike and Bill took a group up to Fort Wetherill for their certification dives. Congratulations to Calib, Bianca, Jeffrey, Trysten and Karol on their achievement. Also, thanks to Tom A, Sonja, Nancy and Stephen for assisting. A great job by all.
And if that isn’t enough diving, Bill conducted two underwater photography dives in Jamestown on Saturday with Nancy and Neil. The weekend wrapped up with Mike conducting two dry suit refresher dives with Joanna. A very busy weekend indeed.
This week, Mike and Bill conducted another “What’s Next” session. During the meeting, they took folks through all of the various options for more training and diving up here in New England. A great informational gathering.
Tom J is also planning for his trip up to Lake George this weekend. Stay tuned for an update next week on the Advanced Open Water and Open Water certification dives.
Until next week, take care
Jeff
