Welcome to fall 2019 in Connecticut. With warm day time temperatures and cool nights, the dive season in New England is exceptional.
Unfortunately the wreck class this past weekend was postponed due to heavy seas from the latest hurricane that past by Bermuda and headed north. Hopefully, there will be the opportunity to reschedule in a couple of weeks. The weekend however was quite busy with Rescue Diver, Open Water, and Nitrox classes.
We will be at Fort Wetherill next weekend to complete our final scheduled open water certification dives for 2019. We are also planning to be in Jamestown on October 6 to conduct the PADI Underwater Naturalist class. So we are not done diving just yet.
The Analox O2EII Pro Nitrox analyzers are in. Come by and check them out. We've put together a nice package.
There was an article in the Sunday Hartford Courant that talked about Connecticut's goal of having all of our power generated from renewable sources by 2040. This is a very ambitious goal that is fraught with many challenges. It is however a big step in the right direction.
In my latest Scuba Shack Radio podcast I went back in my logbook and reviewed a couple of dives we made on the wreck of the Antilla in Aruba. Here is a link to some great information about the wreck. If you are ever in Aruba, this is a not to be missed dive.
Thanks for tuning in,
Jeff
