The days are still getting shorter and with all of the cloudy weather lately it seems even darker. We still have a week until the official start of winter. Then we can start to look forward to just a little more daylight each day. For me the lack of sunlight is very bothersome. At least we have our Little Cayman trip to look forward to. Just over one month away.
We have the Oceanic + Dive Housing in stock! Our full shipment arrived last week and we are thrilled to have this housing in stock. Matt came in on Thursday to play around with it and see how it operates. While we did not get it in the water, he did get the software loaded and working with his iPhone. Once we have a little more time, our intention is to do a full product review and then perhaps a compare and contrast with the SportDiver housing from SeaLife. Stay tuned. Check it out in our online store.
The team completed an absolutely awesome Foundations and Principles of Diving course this week. Saturday morning the gang gathered at Scuba Shack to review the video of the pool session from the previous week. The video is great feedback when working on buoyancy, trim and propulsion. After the morning session, it was back to the pool for three more hours of work. Finally, the group reconvened for their final review of the video on Tuesday night. They were all very pleased with their progress and now have a rock solid foundation for improving their diving.
We’ve started some of our year-end activities this week. None of the fun stuff. We started our rental equipment inventory and with Nancy’s help we are almost done. Now, Ned and I will be lining up all of the tanks for their annual visual inspections. With over 50 tanks to do, you can see why we want to get a jump.
Less than two weeks now until Christmas.
Take care
Jeff
