Open Water Training Continues

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 7 No. 296.

As we make our way deeper into June, we are also making our way deeper into the dive season. We are just a week away from the start of the Summer of 2024 and things are really heating up and a lot of activity is planned for the rest of June.

Last weekend, Ron and Jay finished up a full class of open water divers at the pool in Middletown. Tom A assisted them on completing their five confined water dives. And while the class was finishing on Sunday, Nancy conducted a discover scuba diving program for two. Hopefully, they will be looking to continue on with open water.

Ron and Bill will be leading the team as they head to Brownstone Park this weekend. We have seven open water students ready to finish up their four certification dives at the quarry. The weather is looking good for Saturday and Sunday so far. The sunny days and warm temperatures should be raising the temperature of the water. Looking forward to hearing about the conditions in Portland.

Tom J was here on Saturday and we talked about two things he has going on. He still has room for one more student in the Advanced Open Water course at Lake George in July. Also, he will be leading the trip to Dominica next spring. It is never too soon to plan your next dive vacation.

If you can’t wait until next March, how about a trip to Cayman Brac this October?

Take care,

Jeff
