Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 4 No. 154

I am back here in CT for a few days before heading back to PA for some more family business. It has been interesting dodging traffic and construction as I travel the various highways down to PA. I can’t imagine how things are going to be when the infrastructure bill passes.

Our open water classes have been extremely popular this summer. Tom, Jay, and Ned just finished up a class on Sunday. Also on Sunday, Bill conducted a Discover Scuba session for three and Zach conducted a scuba tune-up. I stopped by the pool to see all of the activity on my way home from PA. Wow - people really want to dive.

Ron has started another open water class this week and they are heading to the pool this weekend. Originally, Lizzy was going to help Ron with this class but she decided to stay in the British Virgin Islands teaching scuba a little while longer. I guess I see her point.

In case you missed it, we had some troubling news come out of Dutch Springs this past week. Looks like Stu sold the property and it is going to be turned into a warehouse distribution center and the quarry will close for diving at the end of the season. More to come on this and I’ll be providing more information on Scuba Shack Radio’s Wet Notes. Bummer!

We are still planning on holding our PADI Underwater Naturalist - New England style specialty on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. That is on September 5. Sign up online and get one more PADI specialty as you make your way toward PADI Master Diver.

Until next week - take care and enjoy the heat.

Jeff
