Preparing for 2023, plus more travel and training opportunities

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 5 No. 222.

I hope this week finds everyone doing well as we make our way toward the year end holidays. It seems like the build up for Christmas started a long time ago and now we are only a couple of weeks away.

The year end is always filled with a lot of activity here at the shop. We start right after Thanksgiving in preparing for the full inventory of our equipment as well as initiating the maintenance on all of our gear. But we are also planning out our 2023 training schedule. Last Saturday we had our first of three staff planning sessions. The team got together to start updating the material that we use for our classroom sessions. I am very encouraged by the dedication of our staff and their commitment to constantly improving the experience for our future divers.

Scuba Shack is heading to the Philippines in October 2023 for a 10-day trip to Dumaguete. Now, some folks are not able to make that trip because of the time commitment in getting halfway around the world and back; even though the diving and resort are absolutely phenomenal. So, we have another option for those who want to get away and do a little warm water diving in the early Fall. We are working on finalizing a trip to Cozumel in late September 2023. Hopefully, this option will work for those who just can’t come to the Philippines with us. Stay tuned for more details.

Also new in 2023, we will be offering private lessons for certified divers who have their own scuba gear. This is your opportunity to get in the pool one-on-one with one of our instructors. You pick the focus area. If you are interested in one-on-one private sessions with Scuba Shack, please give us a call for more details.

Stay tuned for more updates on new products that we are looking at for 2023.

Take care,

Jeff
