PADI Nitrox DEMA DEMA Show Ocean Clean Up Fort Wetherill

Scuba Shack Weekly - Volume 6 No. 266.

It happened again. We turned our clocks back an hour and ended daylight savings time. I wonder why they call it daylight savings because we really aren’t saving anything. Just moving the goalposts a bit. Would you rather have standard time or daylight savings time permanent? Can we just pick one and go with it?

On Sunday a hearty band of divers headed up to Fort Wetherill to do an underwater clean up. Bill, Shea, Mike, Nancy, Steven, Sonja and Tom A pulled over 10 pounds of trash from the cove in Jamestown. Every bit of cleanup helps.

Ron conducted our monthly Nitrox class on Wednesday night. Nitrox is definitely a very important certification to have especially if you are doing a lot of dives like we did when in the Philippines.

It has been quiet at the shop since we returned from the Philippines. It is that time of year as we start our shift into the holiday season. We are gearing up for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. We are going to have some special deals and we hope to see you stop by the shop after turkey day.

I am now off to New Orleans for DEMA Show 2023. I plan on doing a review of the show on the next episode of Scuba Shack Radio right after Thanksgiving.

Until then, take care.

Jeff
