The lure of the deep. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you below 60 feet, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.
What Qualifications Do I Need to Start?
If you’ve earned the PADI Adventure Diver rating or higher, and you’re at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the Deep Diver course.
How Does It Work?
You can start you PADI Deep Diver eLearning at any time. Then you can give us a call to schedule your four dives. These dives must be completed over two days. These dives will give you the valuable experience and skills to safely dive deeper. The logistics for completing the four dives may vary.
Do I Need My Own Equipment?
Yes - you will need to have a dive computer along with your basic scuba equipment. Proper exposure protection is necessary for deep diving. Additionally a dive light and slate are recommended.

Is There Anything Else?
Yes - everyone who takes the PADI Deep Diver class must complete a Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire. Based on your responses, you may be required to have your physician clear you for recreational scuba diving. A fully completed medical questionnaire is an absolute requirement prior to any in-water activity with Scuba Shack.
